Thousands lose power Saturday morning as storms move over Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Energy reported thousands of customers lost power Saturday morning, after a series of showers moved into the Austin area.

Around 10 a.m., many customers were back online, according to Austin Energy’s Outage Map. Around 200 customers were still without power.

The early morning rain is expected to give way to mid-day and evening cold temperatures and freezing winds.
