Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A SWAT situation in north Austin shut down parts of Anderson Lane for several hours Friday morning.

Officers were called to the 7900 block of Gault Street, which is West of US 183 near Anderson Square, just after 9 a.m. for a woman who refused to come out of her apartment.

The person who made the initial 911 call said they believed there were weapons inside the home.

Police officers were able to talk her out of the apartment and the situation ended peacefully before noon.
