AUSTIN (KXAN) — Spirit Airlines is coming to the Austin airport, adding nine non-stop flights.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport announced the domestic carrier will start offering air service Feb. 14. Below are the destinations:
- Denver, Colorado
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- New Orleans, Louisiana
- Chicago/O’Hare, Illinois
- Detroit, Michigan
- Baltimore/Washington D.C.
- Orlando, Florida
- Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
- Los Angeles, California (starting May 2)
Currently, the airport has 16 carriers that fly out from the Barbara Jordan Terminal and two flying out of the South Terminal. However, Frontier Airlines will start using the South Terminal starting this Thursday.
In October, Lufthansa became the newest international airline to offer service at the airport, including a nonstop flight to Frankfurt, Germany.
