Southwest Airlines is adding new daily non-stop service from Austin to Sacramento and San Francisco (SFO) on Monday.
“The new nonstop of Sacramento makes connecting capital to capital easier than ever,” said Jim Smith, executive director of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “With this new daily service plus another option to San Francisco, Southwest now connects our Central Texas travelers to four airports in Northern California.”
The flight to Sacramento will leave Austin at 7:55 p.m. and arrive there at 9:45 p.m. The flight from Sacramento leaves at 6:30 a.m. and lands in Austin at 11:50 a.m.
The flight to San Francisco aboard one of the airline’s Boeing 737s leaves Austin daily at 3:30 p.m. and touches down at SFO at 5:25 p.m. The flight to ABIA departs at 5:55 a.m. and arrives at 11:30 a.m.
Southwest already offers service from Austin to San Jose and Oakland. The new routes will bring Southwests’ total number of daily departures from Austin to 70. The airline transported more than 5.17 million passengers through ABIA in 2017.
