Ronald McDonald House kitchen gets cleaning to benefit community

Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Ronald McDonald House’s kitchen got a good cleaning Sunday to help volunteers continue benefiting the Austin community’s sick children and their families.

Hoar Construction partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to give the kitchen a refresh and volunteers deep cleaned cabinets and drawers, reorganized the kitchen and restocked it with new utensils and supplies.

The construction company hosted a Summer Happy Hour series to come up with the money for the project.

Hoar Construction has long supported the charity, according to a release, and employees have volunteered their time, prepared monthly meals, served on committees and their board and donated materials and money.

The Ronald McDonald House serves thousands of families each year.
