Police seeking help in finding person of interest in north Austin hotel homicide

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a homicide that occured at a north Austin hotel Sunday night.

APD responded to a report of shots fired at the Quality Inn & Suites Downtown North at 7928 Gessner Drive around 8 p.m. on Sunday May 5, where police found 28-year-old Jannerra Williams with fatal injuries, pronouncing the man dead at the scene around 8:31 p.m. 

Police have video of a person of interest in regard to this case:

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the persons involved in this murder. If you have any information on the person in the video, you’re asked to call ATX Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS.
