Pedestrian hit by vehicle critically injured in north Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — First responders were performing CPR at last report on a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in north Austin Friday night.

The crash happened in the 800 block of Rutland Drive, just north of Rundberg Lane.

Medics with Austin-Travis County EMS were called to the scene at 9:05 p.m. and found the pedestrian unresponsive. They took the injured man to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries. 

Drivers should expect traffic delays and road closures in the area.
