AUSTIN (KXAN) — Superbowl LIII is upon us, and with the big game come the commercials. Texas favorite H-E-B has a history of great Superbowl ads, and this year they say they want to bring some Texas flavor to the game.

2019 marks the 12th year in a row H-E-B has aired a commercial during the Superbowl.

This year’s ad features a scruffy looking man trapped on a deserted island only to have a taste of the Lone Star state wash up on the beach.

“Even if you’re deserted on an island, we know our customers expect the best and with the H-E-B brand they know they’re getting top quality products at low prices,” said H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Cory Basso.

Be on the lookout for H-E-B’s 60-second ad that will air in-between the games third and fourth quarters.
