AUSTIN (KXAN) — The non-profit, Bike Share of Austin announced Wednesday that they are launching a new bike share service exclusively for use at The Domain called Domain BCycle.
The new service will launch Saturday, Feb. 16, and is a partnership between the Domain Property Owners Association and Stonelake Capital Partners.
BSA will introduce 100 of their new Dash smart bikes at The Domain. This next generation of BCycle’s will include onboard computers and GPS connectivity.
“As Bike Share of Austin looks to expand shared-use vehicle services in Austin, we are thrilled to be working with our community partners to bring cutting edge technology in the next step in bike share to The Domain,” said Executive Director of Bike Share of Austin Elliott McFadden.
The Domain BCycles will have a variety of payment options from a single dollar to unlock the vehicle, two dollars for a 30-minute ride and $80 for unlimited trips up to an hour for an entire year.
