A man in his 20s has died following a motorcycle crash with a vehicle on State Highway 71 in southwest Austin.
Medics with Austin-Travis County EMS were performing CPR on the man, who was involved in a crash with a vehicle near Silvermine Drive.
Austin police said the man was pronounced dead at 6:09 p.m.
First responders were called to the scene at 5:38 p.m. Thursday and took the man to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
TxDOT warns that westbound SH 71 is closed at Silvermine Drive. Drivers should expect delays in the area.
