AUSTIN (KXAN) — A motorcycle driver was arrested Friday after allegedly pulling a gun on another driver on the road in east Austin, according to Austin police.

Police responded to calls of a suspect on a small black and white motorcycle who had pulled a gun on another driver at the intersection of Rosewood Avenue and Poquito Street.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Oscar Casillas, still riding the small black and white motorcycle.

Once police had detained Casillas, he confirmed that he did have a gun in his backpack. After a search police found a Glock 27 .40 caliber pistol in his bag. When asked if he had anything else on him, Casillas told officers he was also carrying marijuana.

The arresting officer reported that the marijuana found on Casillas was around 0.55 ounces and was valued at $700

Casillas was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.
