MLK Jr Blvd. reopens after motorcycle and vehicle collide


AUSTIN (KXAN) — A vehicle and motorcycle collided in east Austin Tuesday, sending one person to the hospital, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

At 6:46 a.m. the two collided on the 1200 block of East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, near Interstate 35. The motorcycle rider was pinned under the vehicle, ATCEMS said. He had potentially serious injuries.

East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard shut down in both directions but reopened around 7:20 a.m., Austin police said.
