AUSTIN (KXAN) — Over the weekend several American Airlines flights from the Dallas/Fort-Worth Airport coming into Austin were canceled, leaving many travelers stranded.
Dozens of angry travelers at DFW took to Twitter to express their frustration with the airline.
One person said they had to rent a car to get to Austin because the Airline would not have an available flight until Monday.
Another person said the line at the American Airlines desk was “hundreds of people long.”
American Airlines has spent the morning responding to angry travelers on their social media platforms.
We know waiting isn’t fun. Our airport team is doing their best to assist every customer as quickly as they can. Thanks for your feedback. — American Airlines (@AmericanAir) June 2, 2019
They have said the cancelations were due to storms that swept through the area, and that the staff at DFW is hard at work to recover.
