AUSTIN (KXAN) — An man is suing a Sixth Street bar after going down its slide and breaking his feet, according to a lawsuit.
The injury in question occurred at the Aquarium on East Sixth Street on Saturday, Oct. 13. The bar has a slide inside that allows people to travel from the second to first floor.
According to the court filing, Sami Mansour went down the slide and “felt a sharp sudden pain and felt a worrisome crack in his feet.” He alleges that he was unable to move, and was lying motionless at the foot of the slide crying for help.
The lawsuit states that the owner of the bar did not have proper supervision at the slide, and that too many people were allowed to use it at once. The lawsuit goes on to state that neither the owner nor the employees at the bar provided any first aid immediately after the injury.
The injured man is suing the bar for at least $300,000 in damages. The lawsuit said he had broken feet and had to have surgery for bone fractures.
