AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man found dead in an abandoned Maserati back in March has been identified, according to Austin police.

The man, identified as 23-year-old Isaiah Hutchinson, was inside the car at the intersection of Zach Scott Street and Tilley Street and his body was discovered just before noon on March 17.

Hutchison and the Maserati he was found in were part of an officer-involved shooting earlier that day at Interstate 35 and Seventh Street, right by Austin Police headquarters.

The officers involved in the shooting were DeAndre Wright, Dane O’Neill, Trey Nelson and Zachary Woods, according to Austin police.

Officers Wright, O’Neill and Nelson are part of the APD Organized Crime Unit. Officer Woods is part of the Central East patrol.

Hutchison’s death and the shooting are now being investigated by APD’s Internal Affairs Unit and the Office of the Police Oversight. A second investigation will be undertaken by APD’s Special Investigations Unit and the Travis County District Attorney’s office.
