AUSTIN (KXAN) — When it opens next fall, a public market in south Austin will be home to the second location of a “Supernatural” star’s brewery as well as a new Lick Honest Ice Creams concept.

A building at 113 Industrial Blvd. that used to house a school bus manufacturer is being transformed into St. Elmo Public Market. The 12.5-acre site will include food vendors, as well as creative office space, apartments and a hotel. It says it will be Austin’s first indoor-outdoor marketplace.

Family Business Beer Co., owned by husband and wife Jensen and Danneel Ackles, will move in along with a number of other vendors. Their original brewery opened this January in Dripping Springs.

Lick, as well as restaurant and takeaway concept Mignette, butcher shop and restaurant Salt & Time and Texas Hill Country Olive Company will also be located in the space. Other tenants are expected to be announced in the coming year and the marketplace is expected to open in fall 2019.
