LEXINGTON, Texas (KXAN) — Lexington ISD is holding a public meeting Monday to discuss allegations of grade tampering.
The school district’s been doing an internal investigation for several weeks, but school officials have kept it confidential so far.
In March it was reported that a letter from the superintendent stated an outside cyber-investigative firm was hired to look into possible discrepancies found in the grades and GPA’s of students.
Teachers also addressed the issue with students telling them that grades were tampered with.
however, there were some students who weren’t too concerned about the long-term impact on their future.
“A lot of the students here work hard for their grades so they are not too worried about it because they know the school will get it fixed in time before any real damage is done,” said Andrea Sheldon a student at Lexington High School.
Monday night’s public board meeting will discuss the results of the investigation. It will start at 7 p.m. inside the Lexington High School library.
