Indeed, the website that helps people find jobs, plans on hiring 3,000 employees at its Austin office over the next several years.
The company, which currently employs 1,600 people in Austin, is also developing two new offices in downtown Austin and The Domain. The company says its expansion will position “it to be amongst the largest tech employers in the city.”
Indeed recently signed a lease at Block 71 to occupy the top 10 floors at the corner of the building at Sixth and Lavaca Streets. The new lease at Block 71 will replace the current downtown lease. Indeed also has an office along Capital of Texas Highway.
“We are committed to growing in Austin, a city that is a proven tech hub with excellent access to talent and a community that encourages innovation,” said Indeed President Chris Hyams in a press release.
Indeed was founded in Austin and Stamford, Conn. in 2004. The company currently has 6,100 employees in 27 offices around the world.
