AUSTIN (KXAN) — Hundreds of animals found their new family this weekend thanks to everyone who came out to Clear the Shelters.
A total of 603 animals were adopted in Central Texas on Saturday from the six participating animal shelters.
Since July 28, nearly 2,400 animals have been adopted out from the shelters.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) says three of its dogs who have been at the shelter for more than 200 days found their forever homes.
“That is just simply remarkable. Thank you!” the WCRAS spokesperson told KXAN in an email.
