AUSTIN (KXAN) — After 23 years in downtown Austin, Frank & Angie’s Pizzeria will be shutting its doors.
The restaurant, which has the same owners as Hut’s Hamburgers, will make an announcement in the coming weeks with more details, owner Mike Hutchinson said. He confirmed that Hut’s will remain open.
Frank & Angie’s is at 508 West Ave. and opened in 1995, serving Sicilian-American food with dough and sauces made in-house.
Other restaurants in Austin have shut down recently, as well. At the end of July, the NightHawk Frisco restaurant closed because of “changing demographics, increasing competition, and an already tight labor market.”
Hoover’s Cooking restaurant had to cut back on days because it, like many Austin restaurants, face rising costs and a labor shortage.
