Firefighters extinguish car fire in downtown Austin


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin firefighters were able to put out a car fire in downtown Austin Sunday night.

The fire started in the 700 block of East Sixth Street in downtown, according to the Austin Fire Department.

AFD says the man’s car caught fire due to a likely mechanical malfunction. He pulled over when he saw flames.
