AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal / KXAN) — Austin video game veteran, James Ohlen, will open a Wizards of the Coast LLC studio in the city, according to an announcement from the Washington-based gaming company. The location of the new office is shrouded in secrecy, according to a report from the Austin Business Journal

The company is responsible for popular games like “Dungeons & Dragons” and “Magic: The Gathering.” Ohlen was a 23-year veteran of the gaming industry but took a break last year, according to a report by GeekWire. In an interview with gamesindustry.biz, Ohlen said he had turned down most offers but couldn’t turn down the offer from Wizards of the Coast.

“I flew up to Seattle and sat down with Wizards of the Coast for six hours of interviews,” he told gamesindustry.biz. “It was like the scene out of ‘The Godfather’ where it was an offer that was too good to refuse.”

The company declined to reveal where the new office will be located or how many people it will hire at the new location. This move is an indication, however, that the gaming industry is growing in Austin.
