AUSTIN (KXAN) — Fire crews have contained a brush fire off MoPac in north Austin.

The Austin Fire Department said on social media Thursday morning the fire was near where MoPac and Park Bend Drive intersect, just north of The Domain.

AFD said in an update crews got the fire under control, and it appears to have originated in a campsite.

The post also said TxDOT’s HERO program was onsite assisting with traffic.
