Crews clearing downed electrical wires after crash in northeast Austin


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities are responding to a crash in northeast Austin Saturday morning where a driver hit an electrical pole and knocked down live wires.

Austin-Travis County EMS and Austin fire responded to the incident at 6:07 a.m., at the 10400 block of Dessau Road. ATCEMS is transporting one female patient to St David’s Medical Center in Round Rock with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic delays are expected to continue in the area as crews work to clear the downed electrical wires.
