5th St./Lamar Blvd. intersection reopened in downtown Austin after car fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Emergency crews responded to a car fire Wednesday morning in downtown Austin.

The car caught fire after a collision at the intersection of Fifth Street and Lamar Boulevard, the Austin Fire Department said via Twitter. The intersection was closed while medics check people for injuries and crews clear the crash, but AFD says it has reopened.
