AUSTIN (KXAN) — Luxury brand Chanel recently purchased a tract of land in Del Valle, according to deed records filed in Travis County in May.

The company, Timine, Inc. (associated with Chanel Inc.) acquired the 50-acre property off Farm to Market 973 and State Highway 71 from SH 71-130 Holdings. According to reports, the proposed project site would be a manufacturing warehouse.

The property on the Velocity Technology Center plat was purchased for an undisclosed amount. It’s in the same area where H-E-B purchased 17-acres in 2016. H-E-B has not released any type of timeline on when they might build on this land.

Chanel makes everything from skincare to clothing. The records do not indicate what kind of products would be made at the site.
