AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities have responded to a vehicle rescue Saturday morning after a crash in north Austin, according to Austin fire.
In a tweet, Austin fire reported that the crash occurred at Research Boulevard and Payton Gin Road. Rescuers reported that one patient needed extraction after their vehicle crashed into a telephone pole.
Two patients in total were transported to the hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS. Power in the surrounding area is out due to damage to the pole.
According to Austin Energy, it will take approximately 90-minutes for repairs and for power to be restored.
