AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities are responding to a call of a body in the water near the Pennybacker Bridge in west Austin, according to a tweet from the Austin Fire Department.
After a caller reported a body found in the water downstream of a boat ramp, rescue teams from the Austin Fire Department responded and got on the water. When those rescue teams reached it, firefighters say it was obvious the person was dead.
APD has confirmed that the deceased person was a male. No other information was given. Wednesday night, officers were still seen on the water with flashlights, searching for any clue.
