AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities assisted in a water rescue in north Austin, according to a tweet from Austin-Travis County EMS.
ATCEMS has reported that rescue assets are responding to a water rescue in Little Walnut Creek near Lamar and Park Village Drive at 2:43 p.m. According to the caller, the person was trapped in a creek with rising water.
Rescuers have made contact with the person trapped by the floodwaters and helped them out of the creek. No injuries have been reported.
Austin-Travis County EMS warned that water in creeks are expected to keep rising.
“Stay out of moving water!” it tweeted.
