Austin Central Library closes temporarily after water line break

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Central Library shut down for the day Saturday after a water line broke.

Library officials say the break occurred after someone flushed a foreign object in one of the restroom stalls.

The restroom flooded, but luckily no water made its way into the library. The library will remain closed for the rest of the day while the water line is repaired.

The library was already scheduled to close Sunday and Monday for Labor Day. It will reopen its doors Tuesday.
