APD running ‘No Refusal’ every day through Labor Day

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is extending its Labor Day holiday “No Refusal” initiative to include the two weekends prior to the holiday.

The initiative runs from Friday, Aug. 17 through Sept. 3 and will be operational from 3 p.m.-5 a.m. daily. 

Every weekend this summer has been under a No Refusal initiative in Austin. 

During the Fourth of July holiday No Refusal initiative, Austin police arrested 78 people for DWI. Of those arrests, blood search warrants were issued for 40 people.
