AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin fire crews and medics say they didn’t find anything amiss after there were reports of a gas smell at a south Austin elementary school Thursday morning.

“Odor appears to be related to installation of new HVAC system,” the Austin Fire Department tweeted.

Just before 9:30 a.m., AFD tweeted that crews are at Pleasant Hill Elementary School which is located at 6405 Circle S Road, near South Congress Avenue.

Two adults were evaluated by medics after complaining of nausea. The Austin Fire Department said AISD would notify parents. Austin ISD told KXAN school activities have resumed.
