7 displaced after fire at southeast Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Residents of four units are displaced after a fire at a southeast Austin four-plex on Saturday.

Austin Fire officials tweeted about the incident just after noon. They wrote there was heavy smoke with an offensive attack and a search underway. 

The fire happened at 2413 Mission Hill Dr. just north of East Ben White Boulevard in the East Riverside- Oltorf area.

Fire crews got the flames under control at 12:56 p.m. and have since contained the fire to one upstairs apartment. AFD said all of the belongings in the other three apartments were saved. 

Fire officials said there were no injuries. 

There are a total of seven people who were displaced by the fire, six adults and one teen. The American Red Cross will help the victims.
