3M gears up for its largest half marathon ever

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The 25th annual 3M Half Marathon will be held Jan. 20, with registration numbers nearing 7,500 participants, the event is poised to become the company’s largest in its history.

The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. in north Austin and finish near the Texas State Capitol. The event features one of the fastest 13.1-mile courses in the country and runners encounter a 306′ net elevation drop.

In conjunction with the race, 3M will donate $60,000 to support Austin Youth River Watch’s multi-year educational programs.
