AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities responded to a multi-vehicle pin-in collision in south Austin Wednesday.
Austin-Travis Count EMS and Austin fire responded to the crash at approximately 5:24 p.m. at the 4500 block of North Interstate Highway 35 southbound. Two individuals who were pinned in their vehicles have been extricated.
Nine people total were injured, and three were transported to Dell Seaton Medical Center. One man suffered critical life-threatening injuries, another had serious non-life-threatening injuries and one woman had non-life-threatening injuries.
One lane on the upper deck of I-35 has reopened after all lanes were shut down.
