AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police say the northbound lanes of the upper deck of Interstate 35 are completely shutdown just north of the deck split due to a crash involving a 18-wheeler.

Police say the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the upper deck near Manor Road.

Police say the driver of the 18-wheeler is okay and the 18-wheeler is the only vehicle involved.

The 18-wheeler was cleared from the scene, but the interstate remains closed in the area as of 9:45 a.m. while debris is being cleared.
