AUSTIN (KXAN) — One adult died in an auto-pedestrian crash in southwest Austin late Saturday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 71 and US 290.
The adult was pronounced dead at the scene, according to ATCEMS.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, cooperated with the investigation, and was not impaired, APD said.
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 48th fatal crash of 2023, resulting in 48 fatalities for the year.
