AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Water is reporting a water outage after a water main break on Yaupon Drive in northwest Austin.

According to Austin Water, the outage is affecting the area of Yaupon and streets around it, in addition to Bluegrass and Spicebrush drives.

Austin Water said there’s not currently an estimated time for the main to be fixed, but that crews are on-site and assessing.

Around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Austin water updated that repairs were underway on the 12-inch water main break. The leak had been stopped and crews had reduced the number of customers affected by the break.

However, Austin Water said some customers will experience a drop in water pressure and others in the immediate area would experience an interruption in service as the repair is finalized.
