Taylor man arrested, accused of punching his grandmother in the face

TAYLOR, Texas (KXAN) — A man in Taylor was arrested Friday for allegedly punching his 69-year-old grandmother in the face during a dispute, according to Taylor police.

Police were responding to a disturbance call at East Seventh Street at around 2 p.m. The aunt of the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Robert Brandyburg, told officers that she and Brandyburg got into a dispute. She said she told him to leave and he threw a lamp, pushed his grandmother and punched her in the face as he was leaving.

The victim told officers that she was in pain and requested emergency medical treatment. According to the officer, the victim showed bruising and discoloration on the right side of her cheek where she said she was hit.

Police located Brandyburg on East Ninth street and took him into custody. He faces charges of injury to the elderly.
