AUSTIN (KXAN) — The oppressive summer heat is already making itself known and Central Texans are looking for ways to beat the heat.

While we’re not Las Vegas with its crazy pool parties, there are hotels that offer you access to their pools even if you’re not staying there. Here are some options in our area.

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa

The family-friendly resort in between Austin and Bastrop has something for everyone. This year, the resort is offering day passes for local residents so they can get a “daycation.” The passes include a general day pass which provides access to the resort’s Crooked River Water Park, the spa pass where guests can enjoy Spa Django’s facilities and amenities including its outdoor pool and patio, as well as the golf pass which provides a round of 18 holes at Wolfdancer Golf Club and access to its practice facility.

Cost: $45 for adults on weekdays and $50 on weekends. $25 for children.

W Austin

Located on the 4th floor of the W Austin Hotel, the cool kids usually go here for the private cabanas and cocktails. The hotel has several events for its pool, including a WET Deck Day Pass and a night swim.

Cost: WET Deck Day pass is $10/person and good M-F from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Access to the pool is complimentary after 5 p.m. for happy hour and sunset swims.

JW Marriott

If you book a spa item with the hotel, you have access to the pool. If you don’t have a room reservation, you can rent a cabana for $500 on the weekends.

Westin Austin Downtown Hotel

The hotel boasts that its pool and lounge area called Azul is the tallest hotel rooftop bar and lounge. The pool is open to the public during the weekend (Friday and Saturday) after 7 p.m. Non-registered hotel guests must be 21+.

Hotel Ella

The boutique hotel in West Campus offers day passes for $20/person. During the week customers can book a reservation but Friday-Sunday is walk-in only.
