Killeen 17-year-old killed in shooting

KILLEEN, Texas (KWKT) — Killeen police are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old in the 1300 block of Covey Lane late Saturday night.

Officers got a call about shots fired just before midnight and learned there was a disturbance between several people and someone opened fire. The area is a residential neighborhood.

At least one bullet hit 17-year-old Obadiah Moishe Bush. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced him dead at 1:53 Sunday morning.  He ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.

The Killeen Police Department Homicide Unit continues to investigate the incident.
