AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin teenager accomplished his dream this past Saturday.
In January, Taylor Thompson hit his goal of raising $85,000 for a Habitat for Humanity home.
After his mother, Maureen, died following an 11-year fight with cancer, Taylor decided to follow in his mom’s footsteps. Saturday, Taylor handed over the keys of the completed home to Annette Lopez and her family.
His mom was an Austin architect who helped design and build Habitat for Humanity homes not far from the one Taylor worked on himself.
