AUSTIN (KXAN)– Professional boxing returns to Austin with Capital City Fight Night on April 20 at the Austin Sports Center.
There are eight fights scheduled on the card with Killeen fighter Reshard “Too Quick” Hicks (11-0-1, 5ko) taking on Oklahoma boxer Dennis Knifechief (12-9-1, 7ko) the main event. The fight will be for the WCF International Title and the vacant ABF USA Welterweight Title.
“Oklahoma State Champ, Texas State Champ, how could I lose?” said promotor Keith Underwood, a guest on More Than the Score.
Austin boxer Alberto Trey Romero (9-3-1, 3ko) will be one of the undercard fights against Jesus Gonzales (6-2, 2ko) out of Houston in a six round Super Lightweight WCF Title Eliminator.
The event will also be working with Austin Cops for Charities. Austin Cops for Charities works in the areas of health and welfare, education, youth development, aid and emergency support.
KBVO-TV will televise Capital City Fight Night from 8-10 p.m. and it will be streamed on KXAN.com.
