How to prevent and care for spinal cord injuries

AUSTIN (KXAN) – In the summer months, there’s a rise in spinal cord injuries as more people are out doing recreational activities. Doctors say vehicle crashes are the number one cause of these injuries year-round.

Gigi Barnett spoke with Dr. Roger Parthasarathy from the Seton Brain and Spine Institute about the causes of spinal cord injuries and how they can be prevented.
