Grand Jury indicts accused El Paso shooter on capital murder charge


EL PASO (KXAN) — An El Paso Grand Jury indicted 21-year-old Patrick Crusius Thursday on a capital murder charge in connection to the deadly shooting that took the lives of 22-people at a Cielo Vista Walmart in August.

According to a press release from the El Paso District Attorney Jaime Esparza, capital murder is the highest charge possible in the state of Texas. It is also punishable by death.

The press release also said that Esparza will be seeking the death penalty against Crusius.
