AUSTIN (KXAN) — Local educators are meeting up with Austin’s tech community for the Ed Tech Startup Expo.

The founder of Ed Tech Austin, Sean Duffy, joined us in the KXAN studio to discuss the second year of the event. Ed Tech Austin is inviting educators, entrepreneurs, startups, investors, and anyone interested in networking with Austin’s education scene.

Last year, Ed Tech hosted almost 20 startup companies, drawing a crowd of nearly 200 local enthusiasts.

“Startups and companies are invited to sponsor the event, which will include an expo-style walk around, providing startups with the opportunity to showcase and demo their products, whilst interacting with the vibrant and buzzing Austin education community,” said Duffy.

The free expo starts tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the capital factory downtown on Brazos Street. For more information click here.
