AUSTIN (KXAN) — Westlake and Lake Travis can’t meet in the playoffs, but they’ll be together on Saturday. Both teams will be part of a playoff triple header at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
Lake Travis (11-1) plays the second game of the day, a 2:00 kick against undefeated Converse Judson (12-0) in a 6A Division I quarterfinal. This marks the second straight year they have met in the playoffs. Last year the Cavs won 37-29 at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Lake Travis has made it to the State Championship game in each of the last three years, winning their 6th title in 2016.
The final game of the day is a 6A Division II quarterfinal between Westlake (12-1) and San Antonio Brandeis (11-2) meet at 6:00. The Chaparrals have been hit hard by injuries. Senior center Blake Webster and leading rusher Tripp Graham (1,266 yards and 15 touchdowns) both were injured at the end of the regular season. Senior quarterback Taylor Anderson (2,328 yards passing with 31 touchdowns) went down in their 3rd round win over Edinburg Vela.

The first game of the day at the Alamodome is a 5A quarterfinal between San Antonio Wagner and Mission Veterans Memorial at 10:00 AM. Veterans Memorial quarterback Landry Gilpin has thrown for 4,233 yards and 47 touchdowns.
