Dad joke, rage quit and JSYK among 300 words added to Dictionary.com

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Dictionary.com has added 300 new words and phrases to its site.

Some are internet slang abbreviations, like JSYK (“just so you know”) and JOMO (“joy of missing out”). The site says this reflects how technology is influencing modern life and communication.

Other new additions like aromantic, latinx and womxn showcase the change in more inclusive terms for culture, gender and sexuality.

There are other phrases that are pretty well known, like dad joke, brain fart, and rage quit. Dictionary.com says these terms touch on the many and varied cultural phenomena of our time.
