VIDEO: Two suspects smash through Manchaca Stripes and steal ATM

Crime

Two people are wanted after they smashed through a Manchaca convenience store with a truck on May 2 and made off with an ATM.

Video from the Stripes store shows a truck backing through the front door around 4:25 a.m., knocking over shelves of chips and candy and knocking sodas and ice cream to the floor. One person hopped out of the truck and dragged the ATM to the bed.

They were in and out in less than a minute.

The truck, an early 2000s Chevy Silverado Z71 single cab, was last seen traveling eastbound on Farm to Market Road 1626. The truck is two-tone gray over silver and chains were visible on the rear, according to Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was wearing a skull mask, black hoodie, gloves and blue jeans. He was of medium build, TCSO said. The passenger is thin and was wearing a boonie-type hat, blue bandana over his face, camouflage shirt, gloves and blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information about the suspects. People can call the TCSO tip line at 512-854-1444 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477.
