Larry Sutton and Chaz Anthony

A shootout in the middle of Pflugerville neighborhood Wednesday afternoon has landed two men in police custody.

Police say Larry Sutton, 21, and Chaz Anthony, 23, both of Pflugerville, were the two men who were shooting at each other in the 700 block of Botany Bay Circle in the Cambridge Estates subdivision around 1:12 p.m.

Pflugerville police say witnesses reported multiple shots were fired between the two men. Three men then jumped into a vehicle as a fourth man chased after them in his own car.

Sutton suffered a gunshot wound during the firefight and is currently being treated at a hospital, while under police custody. Sutton will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon once he’s released from the hospital.

Anthony was not injured and was taken into custody at the scene, police say. He will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and tampering with evidence.

The woman in her 50s critically injured in the shooting is Anthony’s mother. She was shot while trying to stop the fight.
